James Finlayson This superb 'Fin' bust is the same scale as the Sons of the Desert Stan & Ollie produced by Neil Sims Productions. This is a highly detailed display piece. This bust stands approximately 4.5" inches tall and is painted in detail. In fact the photograph does not do Fin justice, you have to really handle the bust to appreciate the work that has gone into sculpting it. Fin has been vacuum cast in marble resin for a perfect finish and painstakingly painted by hand. James "Jimmy" Finlayson (born August 27, 1887 in Larbert, near Falkirk, Scotland; died October 9, 1953 in Los Angeles) was a Scottish-American actor who worked in both silent and sound comedies. He is most remembered for his work with Hal Roach Studios and Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, especially in the films Big Business (1929), and Way Out West (1937).
